                                          June 2026: Hearts Unfold – Compassion Deepens in Our Third Month

Dear Friends and Well‑Wishers,

​

June arrives carrying the gentle music of service — and with it, fresh stories of care, commitment, and collective kindness from our South Point ’66 Social Welfare Society.

​

Svarāntar Academy completed its first month of music‑therapy activity with heartening results. Two sessions were held at each of our three partner centres, bringing melody and calm to many. The only exception was Welfare Society for the Blind, where we completed one session, the centre was closed for the Id festival on the planned second day, and that session will be made up in a subsequent month.

​

We celebrate the progress already visible: soft smiles, attentive participation, and small, meaningful changes that promise larger gains over time.

​

Acts of kindness brightened the month. Our dear friend Kajal Nag organised a heartwarming lunch for all inmates of Prabartak Sangha on 12th May to honour her Guruji’s Birthday, and generously donated Casio keyboards for the children of the Balwadi creche. Such hands‑on generosity nurtures both body and spirit. We express our deep appreciation to Kajal for these noble gestures.

We are equally grateful to Supriya Ganguly, a very dear friend of ours, for her donation of Rs 12,000 to Asha Niketan to support music‑therapy sessions for their daycare inmates. Thanks also to several school batchmates who have stepped forward to underwrite music therapy at our other beneficiary centres — your solidarity turns aspiration into action.

Each contribution — of time, talent, or treasure — multiplies the reach of our Helping–Healing–Caring mission. As we move deeper into June, let us renew our invitation to all members: bring a friend to "Listen to Your Body" sessions, join our Zoom gatherings, and continue to support the music‑therapy series that so tenderly restores joy and connection.
