March 2026: Passing the Torch with Gratitude and Hope
Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
As March unfolds with the gentle warmth of spring, my heart overflows with deep gratitude and a profound sense of fulfillment. This month marks the end of my term as President of the South Point 66 Social Welfare Society — a journey I have cherished every single day.
Serving this wonderful group has been a true privilege. Together, we've poured our hearts into supporting our eight small NGOs, delivering essential supplies, medical aid, wellness programs, and those special moments of joy that restore dignity and hope. Whether it was the magical outing to Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa or our steady commitment to healing and caring, every effort has reminded me why we do this: to uplift lives, strengthen communities, and spread compassion in whatever little ways we can.
A particularly meaningful milestone this month was our ‘Listen To Your Body’ (LTYB) event. On 7th February, we had the honour of felicitating the eminent doctors who so graciously gave their time and expertise as Guest Speakers in our monthly online LTYB sessions. The felicitation ceremony, held at the prestigious Calcutta Club, was a proud and memorable evening for all of us. Their generosity in sharing knowledge and guiding our community toward better health awareness truly reflected the spirit of service that defines our Society. It was not just a ceremony — it was a celebration of commitment, care, and collective responsibility toward well-being.
I've enjoyed every moment of my tenure, contributing alongside such dedicated souls who make our mission shine.
As I step down, I take this opportunity to warmly welcome our new incumbents: President Mr. Arun Bhattacharya, Secretary Mr. Amit Dasgupta, and Treasurer Mr. Dipen Banerjee. They will take charge of all our activities with fresh energy and vision. I wish them the very best and know they will carry our spirit of Helping – Healing – Caring forward with even greater impact.
Thank you all for your unwavering support. Let’s continue building bonds and creating change together.
With warm regards and heartfelt thanks,
Deepa Roy
